2018 will mark the entry of BMW Motorrad in India with its global products the BMW G 310 R and 310 RS.
Both bikes are designed by BMW in Munich and have been developed in India by TVS Motor Company. That said, the latest steed from BMW Motorrad's stable is a joint venture product from the Indian and the German auto majors. The bike's design cues are taken from the legendary BMW S 1000 R. With its aggressive and sporty look, the G 310 R is a true Roadster.
BMW Motorrad will bring the BMW G 310 GS also with the BMW G 310 R where the former has a larger front wheel and longer travel suspension than the latter which make it suitable for all terrains. BMW claims that the bike is very agile in handling and is lighter with a kerb weight of 158.5 kg. Though its a global product, BMW says the bike is largely built for India and Brazil.
Both the BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS come with an engine displacement of 313 cc which churns out max power and peak torque of 33.5 bhp and 28.4 Nm respectively which make them quicker and meaner.
We except the BMW G 310 R to be priced between Rs 2.5-2.75 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The bike will come in three colour options - Black-White, Metallic Blue and Paid White Base. When launched, it will lock horns with the KTM Duke 390.
