The Internet has gone into a frenzy after pop princess Selena Gomez announced the imminent arrival of Bad Liar- the 'film'.
Bad Liar, Gomez's hit single from 2016, made a particular impact by way of its vertical-format video, which became the first music video to debut on streaming service Spotify.
The American singer dropped a mysterious tweet on Monday with a retro-looking poster in bold font saying 'BAD LIAR'- a Jesse Peretz film.
There's still no concrete information on what a Bad Liar film will entail. From the poster, it's fairly clear that Selena Gomez will star, while we also know that the aforementioned Peretz used to be a musician but has since branched out into film and TV, directing the likes of 2011's Our Idiot Brother and over a dozen episodes of Golden Globe Award-winning TV comedy-drama, Girls.
Gomez herself recently scored a big win owing to the success of Netflix's hit series 13 Reasons Why, which she executive produced.
