Apple’s iPhone X is priced at a $999 and is selling for Rs 89,000 in India is expensive to buy! It’s also expensive to make -- but maybe not as expensive as you’d think!

According to sources, the iPhone X components cost $357.50 to make (Rs 23,000 approximately).

Since the iPhone X starts at $999, Apple earns a profit at a gross margin of 64 percent!

With the new components in the iPhone X like OLED display, wireless charging and TrueDepth camera system, the phone has much more appeal, but still makes a greater profit than the iPhone 8. Here’s How:

However, Apple CEO Tim Cook previously stated that the iPhone X’s price is based on the value the phone brings. Isn’t that still a steep markup though?
