Huge discounts on offer as car manufacturers look to clear out this year's stock.
With the year-end approaching, it’s time for car manufacturers to offer lucrative discounts on their respective cars. Of course, this is done to clear out the current year’s stock – as in vehicles which are manufactured this year - and like always, huge discounts are being offered on mass-market cars. Here are some of them which we think are quite irresistible, and suggest you take a look at these as well, just in case you’re planning to buy a new car in the coming months.
Country’s largest automaker, Maruti Suzuki, is offering around Rs 17,000 to Rs 25,000 discounts on the Alto range (800, K10 and AMT variants). The Wagon R also has discounts going up to Rs 30,000 on offer. The Swift and Ertiga diesel versions have discounts of Rs 20,000. The Celerio, which was recently updated, has discounts of around Rs 10,000. The pre-facelift Celerio has discounts going up to Rs 30,000, though. Last month, the Ciaz had a cash discount of Rs 40,000 along with Rs 50,000 exchange bonus (petrol only). In addition to these discounts, all the cars – apart from the Ignis, Baleno, DZire, Vitara Brezza and S-Cross – have exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 – Rs 20,000 in place.
Hyundai is also offering huge discounts on its cars. The Eon gets Rs 45,000 discount while the Grand i10 and Xcent have Rs 40,000 and Rs 30,000 cash discounts, respectively. The Elite i20 also has Rs 30,000 exchange bonus.
All Nissan models - barring the Terrano - have free first-year insurance at the moment, while exchange bonus of up to Rs 14,000 is offered.
Honda Jazz has Rs 15,000 cash discount along with free first-year insurance. The diesel version has Rs 30,000 cash discount. The Amaze has free first-year insurance and accessories worth Rs 22,000 for free! The Brio only gets first-year free insurance.
Volkswagen is offering cash discounts ranging between Rs 60,000 and Rs 90,000 on the Vento at the moment, while there’s also an extra exchange bonus of Rs 20,000 offered on the sedan. The Polo and Ameo diesel versions have Rs 50,000 cash discount each.
Hyundai is offering an exchange bonus of Rs 50,000 on the Elantra and Rs 70,000 on the Tucson.
The Honda BRV is being offered with a cash discount of Rs 1 lakh at the moment at select dealerships! These discounts, however, are available with the BRV variants that come without the new AVN or touchscreen infotainment system. However, the BR-V AVN variants also have up to Rs 60,000 cash discount.
The Ford EcoSport has discounts of up to Rs 1 lakh as well. This can’t be considered as a year-end deal though. The discounts on the current EcoSport are mainly down to the fact that the new model is launching on November 9.
