Laos is one of the countries you can travel to without selling your kidneys off.

We, Indians, are a funny lot. We travel to places where only our friends & ancestors have been to without spending a second on doing the research. The fact is there are plenty of cities more in this world to explore apart from just the Balis and the Kathmandus that our distant cousins and uncles incessantly keep recommending to us. I'm not saying that these cities & countries are bad, but all I'm trying to advocate is if it's ultimately the ticket fares that decide which international countries we would visit, there are multiple exotic locations we can travel to without burning a hole in our pocket. International travel is not expensive as generally perceived and the following destinations prove the same.

Here are seven of them with shockingly low airfares from India:

Brunei

Also known as the Abode of Peace, Brunei is one of the most overlooked south-east Asian countries. It is located along the South China Sea's coastline on one side and bordered by the Malaysian state of Sarawak on the other. The country is very rich, thanks to being abundant in petroleum and natural gas, and is devoutly Muslim. If you wish to witness some of the most gorgeous mosques in the world, this is the place to be.
