For 2017 Honda had announced the introduction of 4 new products in India. So far, the company has already brought in the Africa Twin and the Cliq. Just last week, the Japanese bike maker announced the launch of a new 'Advanced Urban Scooter' Grazia and commenced bookings with a minimum amount of Rs 2000. Today, Honda officially announced the pricing of the Grazia at Rs 57,897 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Honda Grazia is a sharp looking scooter with an edgy design that will appeal to the youth. The wide front fascia holds the V-shaped blacked out LED headlights - a segment first feature - with the turn indicators positioned above it. The scooter gets an all-digital instrument cluster with a digital read-out of the odometer and fuel gauge.
The Grazia is propelled by the same 125cc single-cylinder engine that does duty in the Activa 125. The engine develops 8.52bhp@6,500rpm and 10.54Nm of torque at 5,000rpm. Power transmission duties are carried out by a V-Matic automatic transmission.
Up at the front, the scooter incorporates telescopic suspension while the rear wheel is suspended on a spring-type hydraulic setup. Like the Activa 125, the front wheel size is 12-inch (shod with a 90/90 section tubeless tyre) and the rear wheel gets a 90/100 section 10-inch tubeless rubber. Braking duties are carried out by 130mm drum brakes on each wheel in the standard setup, while a 190mm front brake disc is also offered as an option. CBS or combi-brake system is standard. The Grazia's wheelbase of 1,260mm is exactly the same as the Activa 125 as well.
According to Honda, the response for the scooter has been overwhelming before the launch with 8000 customer enquiries and 1,000 bookings. Customer deliveries of the Honda Grazia commence today onwards.
