On Tuesday after Argentina was defeated by Nigeria (4-2) in the final World Cup fixtures, ace footballer and former Argentina manager, Diego Maradona approached the Argentina Football Association to bring him back to manage the national team. Maradona also boasted about the victories the team had witness while he was associated with it. In an attempt to regain his position he accused the current manager Jorge Sampaoli of bringing down the team's reputation.
On Wednesday Maradona shared a post on his Instagram account in which he displayed a score sheet that presented the percentage of wins the managers have brought to the team since the 60s. The table he shared had a record of all the national team's managers, Maradona's performance showed 75%, the highest on the grid. And with this proof he also declared that it was time for Sampaoli to leave, say reports.
"Who won more? Draw your own conclusions. I am angry as they are throwing away our prestige, but teh players are not t be blamed.
'I want to come back," the footballer said in this post.
