A painter working on the Padmavati sets fell from a height of 5 ft. and died in the accident
The sets of the movie at Jaigarh Fort in Jaipur were destroyed by the members of Karni Sena who staged an angry protest against the director of the movie Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
The sets of the film were set on fire in Kohlapur’s Masai plateau

2nd November 2017:
The BJP wrote to the Election Commission and the CBFC as well as the Central government to temporarily hold the release of Padmavati, alleging that the film distorts historical facts. BJP leaders have also threatened violence if the film is released as per scheduled.

The Gujarat High Court dismissed the petition filed by Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena stating that the petition filed was premature and that the CBFC will take necessary actions if facts as distorted.
