For well over two decades, the Ayodhya Ram Mandir issue has loomed large over Indian politics. Now, after multiple false starts, it appears that some form of workable solution is finally being put forth.
Republic TV has exclusively accessed the joint application by the Shia Waqf board and Hindu stakeholder groups to file a settlement proposal in the Supreme Court. The proposal entails the setting up of a Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and a Mosque in Uttar Pradesh's capital city Lucknow. Additionally, the full list of proposal signatories has also been accessed. The development comes mere days after Sri Sri Ravi Shankar began mediation in the issue.
