BJP national president Amit Shah on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the Congress party. While addressing the media at Bhavnagar, the BJP Chief said he is confident of that the party will get a majority with more than 150 seats in poll-bound Gujarat. Attacking the Congress party he said that ‘dynasty and casteism’ will not work in the state.
“I am confident that we will get an overwhelming majority, more than 150 seats, in this election. Dynasty & casteism will not work in Gujarat.”
The BJP Chief said that Congress is stalling the development in the state. He said that the people of Gujarat now need to choose between “Congress’ violence” or “Narendra Modi-led development.” He added, "Will you choose Jativaad, Vanshwaad or Vikaaswaad?"
Questioning the Congress vice-president, Amit Shah said, “Rahul Gandhi is touring Gujarat. He comes to the state every 3-4 days.” He added,
“I am asking him, what has he done for Gujarat? Give me the hisaab.”
Interestingly, the BJP Chief's "dynasty and casteism" comes merely a day after Congress announced the party president's election schedule. It is likely that party vice president Rahul Gandhi will be elected president unopposed. The election schedule was announced at the party's apex body, the Congress Working Committee meeting, which was addressed by party president Sonia Gandhi.
