Actor Kangana Ranaut has injured herself on the sets of her upcoming film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The incident happened late on Tuesday when the actor was shooting for a scene from the film in Jodhpur. Kangana, who will be performing many action sequences in the film, injured her leg while shooting for one of the action-packed sequences in the film. She was immediately rushed to a private hospital where she received treatment.
The doctor at the private hospital in Jodhpur has clarified that it was nothing serious and that the Queen star received adequate treatment.
"She came to the hospital last night with a swelling on her right ankle. She was immediately treated upon. Fortunately, there was no fracture and plastered her leg and let her go," the doctor said.
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is an upcoming biographical film about the life of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. It is being directed by National Award-winning Director Krish. Also featuring Sonu Sood in an important role, the film is slated to hit screens on April 27, 2018.
