Music producer Abhijit Nalani constructed Vishal Dadlani’s rendition of the 1995 hit song “Wonderwall” by Oasis with a cool, new sound that is making everyone take notice. The recently released music video of the track has already received over 1.2 million views on YouTube and 1500 shares on Facebook.
“I had a clear brief from Vishal for this version of Wonderwall but it was open for interpretation. We wanted a shuffle oriented swing-ish vibe written with guitars in mind”, says Nalani while talking about the process of creating this new rendition. Accordingly, guitar player Warren Mendonsa aka Blackstrat Blues played the guitar parts on the track.
Nalani, 35 started out early as a musician in the 90s and has performed as a keyboardist with legendary bands like Bombay Black and Hipnotribe in the past. Today, he is one of most sought after music producers in Bollywood circuit. Nalani also works extensively for Vishal’s Bollywood movie projects and is one of the main production minds toward most of the composer duo Vishal-Shekhar's hit songs.
“Abhijit is a madman, an unquestionable genius, the nicest guy on earth, has one of the most evil laughs I’ve heard. He’s just all-round beautiful, I love the dude to death” - Vishal Dadlani
Abhijit Nalani’s work in Wonderwall makes the track sound massive with Dadlani’s voice driving the song to a new level. Listen and watch the video below:
