It took less than three hours for tickets to Ed Sheeran's upcoming concert in Mumbai to get sold out. The Grammy-winning singer and musician is all set to perform in Mumbai on November 19, 2017. The tickets for the show were available on BookMyshow under three categories – Silver for Rs 4,750, Gold for Rs 8,000 and Diamond for Rs 12,000.
The concert being organised by AEG Presents and PR Worldwide in collaboration with BookMyShow, had thousands of fans excited to purchase their tickets online on Wednesday. Tickets were sold on a first come, first serve basis and only those who registered on July 4 were allowed to book the tickets using the unique link provided by BookMyShow.
The concert scheduled to take place at Jio Garden in BKC is a part of the Asian leg of ‘Shape Of You’ singers world tour to promote his third studio album ÷ (divide) which was released on 3rd March through Asylum/Atlantic Records.
Sheeran will also be going to Tokyo, Hong Kong, Manila, Singapore along with a few more places before concluding the concert in Dubai.
So far, he has released three albums: Plus (+), released in 2011, Multiply (x), released in 2014 and his latest, Divide (÷) in 2016. The singer has reportedly said that he has secretly been penning his much anticipated fourth album and it will be "very acoustic".
He was also recently honoured with Member of Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) for his services to music and charity. On receiving the information, the singer took to Twitter to announce that he was "chuffed" and thanked his fans for their support.
