Arnab Goswami On The Sunanda Murder Case

A Delhi court, on Thursday, sought a response from the city police on de-sealing a suite in a five-star hotel where Congress leader Shashi Tharoor's wife Sunanda Pushkar was found dead in 2014. Metropolitan Magistrate Pankaj Sharma asked the probe agency to respond by July 21 on the hotel's plea which said it was ready to provide all the evidence to the probe agency whenever it needed.

Dr Swamy had filed a petition demanding a CBI probe into the case and pointed out several lapses in the investigation of the case by the Delhi police. After the hearing, a confident Dr Swamy said that there has been a step in the right direction in the case and questioned Shashi Tharoor's involvement in it.

The Delhi police has been told to submit a status report on the case within the next three days. The court had also stated that the report would be given to Dr Subramanian Swamy in advance, rather than be handed over in a sealed cover.

Here's Republic TV's editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami's take on the issue:

There is no doubt now that the Delhi Police botched up in the Sunanda case, it has been exposed

Shashi Tharoor has tried his best to stop reporting by Republic TV in his wife's murder. Only he can explain why.

Delighted that the CBI will be getting into the Sunanda murder case. The concealment of evidence should be their focus

If you feel, like me, that powerful forces were behind Sunanda's murder, then tweet using #JusticeForSunanda

The CBI should examine discrepancy between he on-tape and before-police statements of Tharoor's Man-friday Narain
