Bollywood actors Priyanka Chopra and Madhuri Dixit-Nene are all set to collaborate for an exciting new project! The actors are currently in the midst of working on a comedy series based on the latter's life which will be produced by PeeCee herself. As per international reports, the untitled series is based on the life of Madhuri, who will also will executive produce the project.
Sri Rao, a Bollywood writer and a writer for shows like "General Hospital: Night Shift," will pen the pilot.
The currently untitled single-camera series would follow the Bollywood star who settles down in the suburbs of America with her bi-cultural family and tries to bring her colourful lifestyle to an otherwise dull town. Sounds familiar? Earlier, Madhuri stepped away from B-town when she married Sriram Nene, who was based in US back then. She returned to Bollywood after a long gap of five years.
Not too long ago, Madhuri hinted at something exciting coming our way. “Loving downtime in the US. Back up soon with announcements. Til then enjoy,” she had tweeted.
Mark Gordon and Nick Pepper will executive produce through the Mark Gordon Company (MGC). ABC Studios will co- produce with MGC.
Priyanka is currently maintaining a successful career in both Hollywood and Bollywood. While on one side her TV show Quantico is all set to enter a new season, Priyanka is also shooting for two Hollywood movies— A Kid Like Jake and Isn't It Romantic.
