Unlimited Booze, Dim Sums & More: Our Guide To Sunday Brunches For Every Kind Of Budget

So it’s Sunday morning and not to point any fingers since this is a #judgementfree zone, but most of us are hungover and hungry. Breakfast is long gone, and waiting for lunch is too much to expect from us.

This is where brunch comes in – mix the two meals, throw in a couple of glasses {or more} of mimosas and call it a day. We ardently admire this concept, and to share the love, have noted down our Sunday brunch favourites, from prices lowest to highest for optimal ease.

The House, Versova

The House in Versova is right across the road from the beach, and makes for one of the most relaxing places to sit at for hours with friends. While we enjoy weekday dinners here as much as the next TV actor in Andheri, the brunch offer here is one of our favourites – for the sheer value for money – where you can either go for just unlimited food for INR 499, or unlimited alcohol for INR 599. To get the best of both worlds, shell out INR 1,100 in total.

You can choose unlimited number of starters, and one main course dish in the food brunch plan, including food items such as pita bread with hummus, butter garlic prawns, chicken lollipops, a mushroom starter and more.

Price: INR 499 for unlimited food, unlimited alcohol for INR 599

Timings: Noon onwards

Asia Kitchen & Bar

Asia Kitchen & Bar has an awesome weekend brunch offer that gives you unlimited, copious amounts of food and liquid courage for only INR 995, including unlimited IMFL alcohol. Choose between non-veg and veg tempura and types of sushi. There’s also a variety of baos {sundried tomato bao, pork belly bao and more} to be had, edamame dim sum, among others.

Price: INR 995 for unlimited food and alcohol

Timings: 12.30pm–3.30pm

The Little Door

Brunch at this cosy Mediterranean restaurant in Andheri is always a good idea. It’s a relaxed setting with good music and food {you can choose from Italian, Greek or Spanish}. The food ranges from fluffy omelettes to French toast, and from pastas to cheesy risotto. Along with sips of sangria, it’s a great place to tuck in, relax and spend away a lazy Sunday.

Desserts here are especially divine such as chocolate indulgence, pineapple tart and cheesecake, and you know what they say, there’s nothing like a good {blueberry} cheesecake. Brunches get a little more exciting here with their karaoke station, just in case you feel like belting out a few tunes.

Price: INR 797 + taxes {without alcohol}, INR 1247 + taxes {with beer and sangria} and INR 1447 + taxes {with unlimited food and alcohol}

Timings: Noon to 4pm

Henpecked in Kala Ghoda comes with a simple philosophy of respecting what you eat, and knowing where the food on your plate came from. Serving food in farm-to-fork style, they have recently added a delicious Sunday Brunch to their menu.

Dig in to their salads such as the lettuce beetroot and arugula and a meat-heavy salad, appetisers, and then dig into their range of eight-inch pizzas and other main course dishes. Are you someone who believes in breakfast all day, every day? This brunch lets you get your hands on buttermilk waffles, pancakes and egg dishes as well. End the satiating meal on desserts such as the white chocolate cheesecake, mocha fudge cake or lemon tea cake. Read more about Henpecked here.

Price: INR 1,199 for food, INR 1,499 for food and cocktails {including taxes}

Timings: noon–4pm

The Boston Butt

The brunch at this gorgeous American diner inspired eatery will want you staying there for hours. Whether it is the jazz live music, the extensive and satisfying menu {doesn’t just reading the words ‘bloom cheesy garlic bread’ make you hungry?} or their idea of wine popsicles, we aren’t sure.

At the brunch here, apart from the starters, you can pick one salad, one large plate, one dessert and an endless amount of cocktails. Read more about it here.

Price: INR 1817 {+ taxes}

Timings: Noon–4pm

Sometimes we just need to overeat on our very own cuisine. We head to Saptami when we’re looking for a brunch that has more to offer than just Italian and Oriental {and quite frankly is yum-my}. They focus on street food—which is excellent, and also have dishes like paneer tikka, malabari prawns, dhaba-like paneer, and even Bengali fish curry.

#LBBTip: A brunch at Saptami also gets you one-time entry into Holiday Inn’s swimming pool, so carry your costumes for a post-brunch dip in the water.

Price: INR 1,399 + taxes {without alcohol}, INR 1,899 + taxes {with alcohol}

Timings: 12:30pm to 4pm

Indigo, Colaba

After having eaten some fantastic lunches and dinners at Indigo, we were sure that we should go here to try their much-talked-about brunch, and we’re glad we did.

Have some antipasti, cheese, freshly baked breads, cold cuts and for salad-lovers, and one of the around 30 varieties of salads to choose from. You can choose one main course from their menu and of course end the meal with tons of dessert.

Don’t forget to give the food company with sparkling wine and awesome cocktails – we love the kiwi margarita.

Price: INR 900 + taxes for kids, INR 1,800 + taxes for a non-alcoholic brunch, and INR 2,100 + taxes for a brunch with unlimited alcohol included

Timings: Noon to 4pm

The Sunday Brunch at this Michelin-starred restaurant features a four course Oriental menu and unlimited drinks, which include fresh fruit cocktails, bitters and rare liqueurs like the Grape Melon Bellini, Fortune Teller alongside wine, beer and spirits.

The menu has something for the healthy eaters, with their Prosperity Salad, as well as an unlimited variety of dim sums, dumplings, wok dishes and wraps for those who need to line their stomachs after a particularly chaotic Saturday night. You have the option between different main course dishes, be it a steamed Indian salmon, stir fry tofu, mixed vegetable, and more, with either rice or noodle. End the satisfying brunch with a blueberry cheesecake or a variety of ice-cream.

#LBB Tip: We recommend booking here in advance, as getting a table on the spot would require a cosmic interplay of coincidence and luck.

Timings: 12pm to 4pm

Price: INR 3415 {including taxes} for unlimited food and beverage, INR 2272 including taxes for unlimited food

Oh you’re just testing them.
