Harley Davidson has launched four all-new motorcycles in India, as a part of its new 2018 Softail series.

The new Softail series was revealed in August 2017, and got with it eight brand new models. Four out of those eight models - Fat Boy, Fat Bob, Street Bob and Heritage Softail Classic have arrived in India. The 2018 Softail series also replaces Harley’s Dyna series globally, and therefore, Fat Bob and Street Bob, which earlier came under the Dyna umbrella, are now shifted under Softail.

Common to all the Harley Davidson Softail models is the American company’s all-new 1,745cc Milwaukee-Eight 107 V-Twin motor, that features a 45-degree twin cylinder angle. The new bikes also get new underpinnings, including a new chassis that is lighter and stiffer. Harley claims the frame is 34 per cent stiffer than the previous generation models, and the swingarms are lighter by up to 9kg.

All the four new models also get new features like ‘Daymaker’ LED headlamps, improved electrical system charging, adjustable rear shock pre-load setting, new instrumentation, keyless ignition and and security system, steering head mounted USB charging port and new fuel tanks.
